Hello Atlas, I've owned a Kimber Eclipse in 10MM, a Delta, and other 10s. I much preferred the Kimber in 10MM, with the ramped barrel and very well supported chamber, over the Delta. Still think the Eclipse was one of the best looking 1911 type guns I ever had. But you're certainly right about people not having the best to say about Kimbers.

It all comes down to which looks better to you. I think the Eclipse is the best looking Kimber. I don't care a lot for the scaling on the Raptors, but it all comes down to personal opinion. Both are great guns that will give you, and your son/grandson, a lifetime of enjoyment if they are taken care of properly.
