Put a 8mm wrench or socket on it and try to shift it up and down. If that works than your problems are electric. If that doesn't work than you have a mecanical problem. Remove the shift motor and gears (very simple to do). Remove all the factory stiff, gummy grease that was put in the shift gears. Now, replace all that grease with a liberal amount of ALL-temperature, White Lithium Grease. Reassemble, and your shifting will be better.
