From what I gathered is that they have the non compatible phones IMEI numbers blacklisted somehow. I don't get how they sell phones, the 3 cheap ones, and have the so called technology to be compatible when the operating system on one is Android 9 Pie and one of the other ones is Android Q. How old is that technology.
