It's not so much anti Bubba as the fact that there essentially isn't a satisfactory way to mount a scope to a SKS, and for the effective range of the rifle, you're really just as well off spending the money on ammo and learning to shoot the iron sights well. Military production Chinese Type 56 Carbine - likely 1970’s. Some might tell you 1972, but that isn’t proven. If you took a wider angle shot of your rifle - more identifiable features might help place it a little better - and I could offer you a more professional opinion.

If it the typical example could hold a 8" group at 600 yards with average ammo, AND if it weren't so difficult to mount a good scope, AND if it either had a good magazine option or a way to load it while scoped, it could be a very good medium range precision platform.
