As you can see from the picture below, a combination of the protovyre ephemera and operator/drifter hair 037 causes this dark colouration of the hair despite me having no highlights in the hair, just pure white. This doesn't seem to happen with other ephemeras nor with other hairstyles but I haven't tested them all.

That is even though it got to Tier 3 when I did 2 challenges, but when equipping a certain mission, at the beginning of the mission nothing happens, but after about 5 minutes it returns to its original shape (Tier 1) as before the 2 challenges.
