The LIM Gasket failure on the 3800 II should be common knowledge to most mechanics, unless they are just shade tree mechanics, that is in my opinion. Have the lower intake manifold gasket changed to FEL-PRO Part # MS98014T, and have the EGR stove pipe swapped to the reduced diameter one that comes in that kit.

This has been an on-going problem (very common on the 3.1 & 3.4's). When the lower intake gaskets get old, the seals around coolant ports begins to seep a bit. And when the engine cools, the oil near these ports gets sucked into the coolant as it cools.That has nothing to do with coolant. In fact, coolant almost CAN'T leak into your upper intake because the gasket doesn't seal any coolant at all.
