Basically every melee weapon except small knives or pens/forks and such. I believe cleavers are the exception among those.

Multi hit is too boring. Combat is all about spacing and timing, and finding the right rythm for these two things. Also, even a few zombies mean quite the threat for a long while untill you level up a weapon skill. With multi hit on, the game turns into a hack and slash borefest, where even larger groups are easy to deal with from the get go. This one is a bit of an exploit so feel free to skip it - attaching any weapon to a spear with duct tape will make the new crafted spear to have the condition of whatever weapon you used. It also resets the "Repaired x times" thing. Same goes for removing the weapon from a spear. This means you can infinitely repair the weapon/spear by abusing ...I see it more like, I smack the zombie with a golf club, and the one it bumps into should be slowed down at least. I feel like it could be improved if it had a third option; multi hit, but only the first one contacted with the weapon takes damage, any others would just be affected by a knockback (and possibly less knockback than normal as some energy is absorbed by the first zombie).It's a bit weird honestly, I can see why it's off by default. One-handed pan or lead pipe bonking multiple zombies was a tad strange when I tried it out. But for 2h/wide swinging weapons it makes a lot of sense.

Even with a long weapon you still are only able to hit like 3 at a time. Taking on a hoard is still very challenging.
