I found out that you can make a two simple macros: /mk attack. and. 2) /mk off. When you use 1, it will actually assign any attack number that has not already been used!It actually works very well without the wait it will clear then change to the placement cursor. There is a slight delay you need to wait for it to actually clear the mark before it will switch to the placement cursor.
