Idle problem in Drive. My 2013 Escape 2.0 with 135K miles has just developed a rough idle to the point of wanting to stall in drive. If I shift to neutral it idles fine. It otherwise runs fine. It's when I come to a stop in drive, it's as though the transmission is still trying to move the car forward. Transmission was flushed about 30k miles ago.

I tried to use our 2nd vehicle, a 2010 Ford Escape, as the assisting car to jump start mine. But when I looked at the engine compartment of the Escape, I found that the battery is positioned in such a way that the negative terminal is completely inaccessible and there is no physical method that I can find to connect jumper leads to that battery.

The shifter has solenoids to lock things down and unlock them, and it has an encoder to report what gear you're in. Not sure how much of a mechanical connection there is on the 2015's though.
The moonroof had been fully closed and sunshade fully closed (forward). Using the switch, the sunshade fully retracted, then I opened the moonroof with the switch, and it went fully up, (nearly a 1 1/2") opening.
