The drop rate for combat presents are too low at 1 in 2000 per kill for a limited time event. If you want a reasonable chance to get the present, you have to fight weak enemies while getting your respawn/attack times low. However, for someone who has been at completion (before aod ofc) for a while now, there are no weak enemies worth farming.
