A cobia or two have also been lurking around the same areas. Nov 30, 2023 · INSHORE - Snook fishing slowed a bit this week with the front. As water temps start to creep down now the snook's metabolism slows down, and they start eating smaller baits better. Live shrimp, shrimp jig, Thumper Shrimp (Big order on the way, should be in next week), DOA Shrimp, and 3" NLBN all really turn into top baits for the snook as temps ... Bluefish action remains good; with an assortment of lures and cut baits working for them. Spanish Mackerel are also around and biting white crappie jigs well. Pompano action also continues to improve, with bright colored Doc's Goofy Jigs being the lure of choice. The Juno Beach Pier also had a few snapper this week, along with a couple of redfish.

Seems like the Juno/Jupiter area has been producing a few more fish on the afternoon bite. From the beach it's the usual baits (Sandfleas, clams, fresh shrimp, and FishBites) producing the most bites. On the Juno Beach Pier the same baits will catch the pomps; with Doc's Goofy Jigs and Crappie jigs tipped with shrimp also catching a good numbers.First the Juno Bait Crew would like to say, Happy Mother's Day weekend to all the great mom's out there!!! OFFSHORE- The southeast wind this weekend should help to stir up the dolphin fishing. 200-400' of water should produce some good dolphin catches this weekend.A few pomps coming on the Goofy Jig; but the better bite has been on bait, with sand fleas being the top bait choice. The Juno Beach Pier has continued to produce a few Spanish Mackerel as well. White crappie jigs and small Rapala X-Raps have been the top lure choices for the Macs.
