I have a similar Iver Johnson .22 'top-break', but of later manufacture. My model 844 8-shot revolver came at a bargain price, because of a cosmetic issue, its brand name, and styling. A careless previous owner put a spiral scratch around the cylinder, (by letting the frame-latch ride on the cylinder as it was rotated off the frame).
