FYI I was able to get my local dealer's parts counter to match honda parts online's price + shipping which was roughly an $80-100 savings. 6 hours is a bit of a reach IMO, unless they are also going to remove the rear valve cover and check valve lash on the rear cylinders as well.

I installed the VCMuzzler at about 95k miles and spool valve was not leaking at the time, but started leaking around 160k. Dealer could be trying to avoid a warranty repair on the original work. It's mounted on the driver's side of the rear cylinder head. There are two gaskets. One is the one between the spool valve and the cylinder head--available from Honda. Honda Service Bulletin 20-023, which explains how to replace only the top portion, also lists the Flat Rate Time as0.8 hours. BTW, I doubt this quote is from a Honda dealer. Which is considered the front spool valve assembly. I don't see why it would still leak if I buy Honda gaskets for it. It's only like a 30-minute job and it's on top of the engine.
