I put the small Hawk platform on top of the 20” stick. On my 36” sticks I put singles on them. 2 of them have 6mm rope and hose for the step. Figure 8s on each end with the bite going through the bottom steps hole…..love these. My first mod was done with that emergency strap that comes with harnesses.I usually carry 3 hawk helium climbing sticks with me. I am looking for ways to cut weight since I am often doing alot more hiking than I am actually hunting in some cases. The Heliums have 2 pegs on each step, so to speak, One on each side. so 6 pegs on each climbing stick.

I had a set of rope modded Helium’s and I like the webbing better. It rolls up around the stick a lot flatter and if you bought the stick you already have the stuff to do it, no need to buy anything else.Wrap the strap around the tree and then slide the closest adapting loop over the Versa button. At this point it should be attached to the tree and will be a bit loose. Pull out the top two steps and pull them down with some pretty good force to seat the legs into the tree and put tension on the strap. Its a cool system, glad they did it.I think my 1 Hawk Helium stick is around 21" and step space is about 18". I don't really use the top step much. When I get all the way on the top step and move the tether to max height I can't reach the stick.
