As an owner of a Glock 19 and M&P9 I say get the H&K P30. After shooting one a couple weeks ago they are MUCH better (my opinion) all around than the others. I've never held a pistol that fits nicer in my hand (even my Les Baer). What a sweet, soft shooting pistol. Wow. I will be selling the Glock to buy one this fall.The Glock can be detail stripped easily, the XDm is a bugger, another Glock win. The Glock's sights are rather simple to replace, the XDm needs a nuclear explosion to remove them, Glock win. The XDm is a 19+1 round cap, the G19 is 15+1, so the XDm wins capacity. The XDm has an additional safety feature, the grip safety, so XDm wins safety.Trijicon seems to be brighter, at least in the yellow sights. I do notice a big difference between the XR and XD. XD certainly provides fast target acquisition at self defense ranges, but so does the XR. If you train front sight shooting, I don't think you'll notice much difference at all.
I've owned an XD9, introduced a few ladies to shooting with it, but would agree there is slightly more recoil than the G19. The Glock has a much lower bore axis than the XD. The trigger reset is better to me on the Glock 19. Trigger reset is highly subjective and has a lot to do with the way the shooter handles the gun. There are many more accesories for the Glock than any other gun on the market. I like the loaded chamber indicator on the glock.
The felt recoil with the XD-9 Service and the Glock 19 is probably about the same, which is NEXT TO NOTHING. The main differences between the two is the grip angle and the fact that the Glock 19 is a more concealable pistol due to it's slightly shorter grip. The XD-9 also has a slightly higher magazine capacity than the G19.Same happened to me on Tuesday. My Glock friend has the 19 and I have the 5.25 9mm. He had never fired mine in the few months I've owned it. After shooting the 5.25 he came back saying it was smooth like butter. Despite the lighter weight, the trigger on the Springfield required a bit of travel even after resistance was met.
