Duramax ticking noise.

I have an 01 duramax that I recently replaced headgaskets in. Shortly after the headgasket job a ticking noise appeared. I think it sounds like a lifter ticking. Possibly a lifter loosened up a little after it has been running. A friend of mine disagrees. He says it is injectors ticking because they are bad. While test driving I noticed a ticking sound from 1100 rpm till short of 3000rpm. If I´m flooring it it goes away and nothing at idle or very light acceleration. Basically you get some air trapped in the lifter oil passage and it takes a bit of time for it to work out. When my LMM does it it takes 30 to 50 miles for it to clear up. It has started making a clicking/ticking sound that can be heard in the cab pretty good and once window is rolled down, it is even louder. It sounds like it is coming from the rear end or bed area.

I have a video of it, not sure how to post it on this forum. But it is an irregular noise that does increase repitition with RPM but does not imitate RPM at idle.
