The IC-R30 far outperformed the SDS100 and rarely stopped, opened squelch without good clear voice traffic. Both fully charged and locked onto one TG, the G5 lasted 20.5 hours, while the SDS lasted 8 hours. G5 screen timeout set to 45 seconds and SDS100 set to 10 seconds.
