Bg3 slow loading.
Identical issue here. Tried cleaning the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling, unfortunately neither fixes working. The game would initially look really good but the problems (black textures and other texture issues) seemed to trigger after going through a loading screen or after dialogue with an npc. #15.

Saw an article recommending increasing RAM so I doubled my PC's 8GB RAM to 16GB and it launches and loads decently quickly now. I just clocked it at 1:40 to fully launch starting from DX11 from Larian Launcher. Re-loading saved games takes about a minute. Seems to be a launcher issue. Makes the game basically unplayable.

Since ACT 2 for some reason, whenever I enter dialogue or a cutscene, the textures are loading slowly on the npcs for a few seconds at most. The armor/face of the npc is blurry for a couple of seconds, and then it magically fixes itself. Some motherboards have a built-in video port as well. Its a common mistake to make. But back on subject I have a GTX 1060 card and my models are slow to load at time as well. I feel like the EA game is bloated (file size wise) and it could cause slow down at times, but that just my opinion.
I can't help you if you think 20 or so secs is too slow for you for loading a save game. It might be faster in the full release, but I don't think so. Nothing wrong with your system. Thats the single biggest increase you can achieve, and fairly cheap. Mind you since you're on a laptop you probably need to replace your existing drive.

The load times are as you describe, for me. When I play it locally from my laptop, it loads a LOT faster, so presumably the (shared) storage at the datacenter assigned to my sub tier is the issue.
