Archers and horse archers good enough that they tend to get nerfed whenever troops are rebalanced. Heavy infantry that doubles as skirmishers. Solid shock infantry. Horse archers that can handle melee. Fastest melee cav (which means that enemy horse archers can't get away) carrying best javs (which can shred enemy cav before actual melee).
Best horse archer: Both khuzait and aserai horse archers are good but the best horse archers are the khuzait khans guard which are noble units. Best infantry: aserai have decent shock infantry with the palace guard but from my experience most people go with imperial legionaries as their front line due to their strong armour and shield.
