New holland 648 round baler problems.
Fixed all my New Holland no-want-to-start-bale problems. Had a 648 that wouldn't start a bale in dry conditions to save its life. Only thing that really helped was jump out an make a narrow windrow for 20' or so. Take the doubled up 4' windrows and make them 2' wide by hand then feed that into the middle of baler.
New holland 654 baler issues. I bought a 654 NH baler last year replaced the sledges and slip clutches hoping it would be a decent baler for awhile and it seemed to baled pretty good but now most of the time the string will not start going on the bale unless I get off and pull the end of the string out farther.I know of two sold in this area within the last two years with 8,000 to 12,000 bales that brought exactly $10,500 each private sale. Each baler still had the original endless belts. A worn out 644 will be just that, a worn out round baler. If you have problems with hay building up in front, then the bale is breaking up while baling.
