Disconnect the water supply. Lean the washer back against a wall. Use a 5/16-inch socket to remove the belt shield bolts. Set the shield off to the side. Check the belt to see if it’s broken or stretched out. You shouldn’t be able to pull the belt in very much when pinching the belt in between the pulleys.
