M9a1 vs 92a1.
The 92A1 (Not to be confused with the M9A1) lacks interchangability with other 92 models. It has an internal buffer built into the frame tjat means the slide is not interchanable with other frames. That's why the vertec slides have become common place on modern 92 product lines. If you want the full frame I'd buy an LTT Elite or an M9A1.
I'm stuck between the 92a1 and the m9a1 simply because I was gonna semi clone Jill valentines Samurai Edge (yea yea nerd whatever). The M9A1 does not. It is a standard 92FS slide on top of the M9A1 frame. Tooltech does the factory installs for night sights on Beretta. They will do it for you too. I think it's $170, but they replace the rear sight and drill the front one. I have a Beretta I bought last year with factory nightsights.
I first did a swap of complete uppers barrel and all. 92x would function (no test fire) 92 compact would latch but wouldn’t slide. Next I replaced the slide keeping the coresponding barrels with their firearms. Now everything functions properly manually ejecting and loading rounds.
