Also not all planets in a system would have a settlement. If you used a planetary map, and nothing shows that means there's literally no other locations to map in that system.

It doesn't look like you will need to delete your old settlement to move to a new one, just find one using a planetary map (specific, not random, you can choose a settlement map) from the space station. When you take over the new settlement, you'll see a message saying that you are relinquishing your old one.Step 1: Backup your saves! Euh, no there is a *new* map for settlements. I tried a couple out and each led me to a new settlement. It probably doesn't work in systems/planets that have no life/not habitable so make a save before using them. Both of you are right but also wrong.
