Cz 457 vs bergara b14r.
Last year I competed against several CZ457 Varmint models in the AT-1 and Chassis stocks and they were some of the toughest competitors I faced. I have seen several of them win sanctioned matches across the country. I have never seen an MTR win, ever. Mine is the 24" bbl but they come in 16.5" and 20.5" also.
Incredible groups with this 22LR Bergara bolt-action. Be a fantastic competition rifle or a trainer. Very impressed with this Bergara! That said, the b14r is a great gun and hangs with my vudoo out to 125-150 in accuracy, but the vudoo really starts to separate itself at 200+. 22” Vudoo is a long heavy boi especially when you add a can. Consider that if you want mobility for nrl22 timed shooting. Bergara weaknesses.
The Bergara has only one option. From experience with multiple examples the T1X and CZ are practically the same with regards to accuracy. Interestingly, the T1X samples have been a little better with high velocity ammunition compared to the CZ. I prefer the bolt on the T1X and CZ to the Bergara.You might be interested in it down the line and depending on your rifle and scope, you might need to buy another setup or part of one because the current limit is $1200 MSRP for rifle+scope for nrl22 base class, which the 457 varmint, tikka t1x, and bergara bmr would be good for. The used higher end ones like b14r put you in the open class.

I did not even have to touch the ejector as of yet but mine is a newer production so not sure if the factory tightened them up somehow or not. The B14R has the same cartridge loading as the Vado, in that the cartridge pops up as the bolt goes forward and engages the two extractors and goes straight into the barrel. I love my Bergara B14R and BMR...the BMR is nearly as accurate as the B14R with Lapua Center-X. My BMR put 5 rounds into 0.67" at 100 yards. CZ makes a great rifle as well.
