Acura mdx push button start problems.
Mar 3, 2010 · I don't like the push buttons for a couple reasons: 1) I saw in Topgear one of the hosts was able to steal one of the other hosts cars w/ a button start. They were at a restaurant then one them snuck outside and reparked the car in the middle of the street. 2) It is cheap to make a duplicate key. 3) Just weird. 4) Cost more.

Video of the problem. After I pushed the start button with the break pressed, the car wouldn't start. I only heard a lot of clicking sounds and all lights were blinking. But there was no cranking sound. I can still go to the accessory mode if the brake is not pressed when I push the start button.

Perhaps the "stiff" feeling sensation is because previous car most likely had a traditional vacuum brake booster and electric brake booster has a different feel @ startup.
