The 2004 that I recently picked up was already relocated. It also had a code for the knock sensor that we cleared. It hasn't come back but if it does, I'll replace the sensor. I don't think I would completely ignore it. Ideally, I think it is best to replace it in the factory location, change plugs, clean, etc at the same time.

So after some investigating the harness, it seemed that the two sensors are connnected together, through some ground shielding.
